Abstract

This article examines the concept of "qualification improvement" of teaching staff in institutions of higher education. The stages to the quality of advanced training by scientists were analyzed and considered. The forms of professional development and the possibility of their combination for improved perception of new knowledge and skills in the direction of increasing professional knowledge have been identified. The types of professional development and the conditions under which skills and knowledge are increased are also listed. Advanced training as a component of the general system of continuous education of the individual is analyzed. It has been established that the structural elements of the quality model of professional development of pedagogical workers of higher education institutions are the quality criteria of conditions (educational environment), process and result. Management of employees during their professional development is an important aspect for ensuring the effectiveness of educational processes and achieving high results. This includes key aspects such as: communication and motivation, control and support, planning and organizational capabilities, control and support, and performance evaluation. Modern methodological approaches and practices aimed at the development of professional competences and adaptation of employees to rapidly changing socio-economic conditions are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the individualization of training, the implementation of motivational mechanisms, and the active role of the heads of educational institutions in the process of professional development. Issues of the quality of educational programs, monitoring of effectiveness and development of cooperation and exchange of experience among scientific and pedagogical workers are also considered. A conclusion is made about the need for a comprehensive approach to the management of professional development, which includes assessment of needs, planning, monitoring and evaluation of results.
