ECONOMIC AND MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF THE VOLUME OF INVESTMENT RESOURCES AS A FACTOR FOR ENSURING FURTHER SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

The article substantiates the feasibility of economic and mathematical modeling of the volume of investment resources of food industry enterprises necessary for their sustainable development. The importance of the study in the context of modern economic challenges that require optimization of investment activities is argued. It is determined that sufficient investment resources ensure the modernization of production, the introduction of innovations and the increase in the competitiveness of the enterprise. An economic and mathematical model is proposed to determine the required amount of investment resources, which takes into account capital expenditures, research and development work and the introduction of innovative technologies. Available sources of investment financing were assessed and criteria were formulated for determining investment deficits or surpluses. It has been determined that the main source of investment resources remains the profit of enterprises and credit resources, access to which is not the same for all entities due to differences in performance, which requires the development of strategic solutions to ensure the necessary level of financing for investment projects. It has been determined that cost optimization is an important tool for increasing the profitability and competitiveness of food industry enterprises and includes reducing production and logistics costs, process automation, rational personnel management, identification and minimization of risks, and effective financial planning. An analysis of the optimization of the investment strategy based on the profitability maximization function was conducted. It was determined that the results obtained can be used to improve the efficiency of management of investment resources of food industry enterprises and ensure their sustainable development in the long term.
