CORPORATE ECONOMIC SECURITY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Abstract

In the current conditions of globalization and digital transformation of the economy, enterprises operate in an environment of increased turbulence characterized by growing macroeconomic, financial, and digital risks. Increased competition, the spread of information and communication technologies, more complex regulatory requirements, and the transformation of corporate governance models necessitate the formation of an effective corporate economic security system as a key condition for ensuring long-term business resilience. The aim of the research is to theoretically summarize the evolution of the concept of corporate economic security and to substantiate the current directions of its development in the context of globalization and digital transformation. The work uses methods of systemic and structural-functional analysis to study the relationships between elements of the corporate security system; a historical-logical approach to summarize the stages of the concept’s evolution; comparative analysis to compare classical and modern approaches; and a generalization method to form a modern interpretation of the concept’s meaning. It has been proven that the concept of corporate economic security has evolved from cost control and asset protection tools to a comprehensive risk management system that integrates financial, organizational, social, and digital components. It has been substantiated that in the context of digitalization, the importance of information security, compliance, corporate social responsibility, and macroeconomic adaptability of enterprises is growing. It has been established that the effectiveness of a corporate economic security system is determined by the consistency of strategic management, financial resilience, and digital integration of business processes. Further research should focus on developing integrated models for assessing digital and macroeconomic threats, improving methods for quantitative risk forecasting, and forming adaptive mechanisms for interaction between enterprises and state institutions in the system of ensuring corporate economic security.
