RESOURCE POTENTIAL IN FORMING THE EFFICIENCY OF AN ENTERPRISE'S ACTIVITIES

The article defines the essence and composition of the resource potential of an enterprise. The components of the resource potential of an enterprise are revealed: material resources, financial resources, labor resources, information resources, organizational resources. It is substantiated that the connection between the resource potential of an enterprise and the efficiency of its activities is direct and decisive, since the available resources and methods of their use form the ability of the enterprise to achieve its goals with minimal costs and maximum results. The attention is focused on the intellectual component of the resource potential of the enterprise. It is motivated that for each type of resources its own methodological approach is used to assess them. As an example, the assessment of labor resources is given, which involves the analysis of the qualifications of employees, their preparedness, motivation and productivity. It is substantiated that high quality and rational use of resources, innovative approach of employees and timely financing of development contribute to stable growth, formation of competitive advantages and long-term sustainability of the enterprise in the long term. It is argued that the availability of resources in itself does not guarantee high efficiency of the enterprise: the key is the mechanism of their attraction, use, coordination and improvement. It is determined that the mechanism of resource use implies the determination of those responsible for the formation and use of resources; choice of technologies; building the organizational structure of the enterprise; development of a personnel motivation system; innovations. It has been proven that in order to form a powerful resource base, an enterprise needs to regularly monitor the state of resources, assess their quality and level of use. Insufficient attention to the qualitative assessment of resource potential can lead to irrational use of available opportunities, reduced labor productivity, increased costs and, as a result, reduced profitability.
