MODELS AND MECHANISMS OF THE INTERACTION OF INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL AND INNOVATION ACTIVITY IN ENTERPRISES

The article examines the relationship between intellectual capital and the innovation activity of enterprises, highlighting the role of intangible resources in ensuring competitiveness under modern conditions. Particular attention is paid to the structural composition of intellectual capital, which includes human, structural, and relational components, and their synergistic role in stimulating innovation-oriented development. The study highlights three key groups of interaction models. Structural-functional models focus on the distribution and complementarity of different types of intellectual capital, showing how human knowledge and competencies are supported by organizational processes and external networks. Process-based models describe the dynamics of knowledge transformation into innovative products, covering stages of idea generation, R&D activities, testing, and commercialization. Systemic models integrate internal and external factors, demonstrating how enterprises can adapt their innovation strategies in response to changing market, technological, and institutional environments. The article also examines practical mechanisms of interaction that enable enterprises to transform intellectual resources into innovation outcomes. Organizational and managerial mechanisms stimulate creativity, motivation, and continuous learning through training programs and innovation platforms. Technological mechanisms employ digital tools and knowledge management systems that accelerate idea transfer and improve transparency of innovation processes. Financial mechanisms provide the resource base via venture funding, grants, and intellectual property protection. The study argues that the most effective approach is a combined model of intellectual capital management, which integrates organizational, technological, and financial instruments. This approach allows enterprises to increase innovation activity, reduce risks of resource underutilization, and form long-term competitive advantages in both domestic and international markets.
